Perhaps the saddest words that one can say on FishStripes will be said today: This is the final game of the year for the Marlins.
While this will be the last game for the Fish this season, it has the potential to be one fabulous swan song. As you all know, the Mets are playing for their playoffs lives and the Marlins are potentially standing in the way.
The Marlins starting pitcher is Dontrelle Willis.
The Mets will send Tom Glavine to the hill.
Game time is 1:10 p.m.
Willis returned to his old form two starts ago and his last start was a gem giving up only two hits in eight innings. Dontrelle excels in the big games and today's will have a playoff atmosphere.
Glavine was shaky in his last two starts only going five in both and giving up on average a run an inning. But Glavine isn't a future Hall of Famer for no reason, so expect him to be at his best. But if he wants to stay shaky -- we can live with that.

Ichthyomancy will crown a regular season champion today. And believe it or not, no one is out of it. Let's say you are 115 points behind, all you have to do is pick, roughly, 116 things in your AAB picks to come true without a single one of them going wrong and you're the winner. It is as simple as that.
A shorter version: it's time to go for broke if you don't find yourself in the lead.
Ichthyomancy is ready for action, though still hating day games.
Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:
|Marlins leadoff: 2+ OB, 2+ R
|Willis: QS, Cabrera: 2+ RBI
|Tankersley: W, Cabrera: HR+RBI > 2
|Willis: Perfect Game
|Willis: Perfect Game and hits for Cycle
|Marlins: 10+ H, 1+ SB, Gregg: save
|Willis: Perfect Game, hits for Cycle; Abercrombie: PH Grand Slam
|Marlins: 2 HR
Best of Luck to Everyone!
