Breakout the brooms Fish Fans, the Marlins are going for the sweep.
The Marlins staring pitcher is Scott Olsen.
The Cubs have on the slate, Steve Trachsel.
Game time is 4:05 p.m.
Olsen was on in his last start giving up 0 ER through five innings. Of course, those 8 unearned runs that the defense let in kinda put a damper on things. The guys playing behind Scott owe him one and today would be a good day to show up.
Trachsel's last start wasn't too bad giving up 2 runs in 5 innings, but that was two weeks ago. The Cubs, I guess, due to off-days went with a four man rotation and Trachsel was the odd guy out. Right-handed hitters are having more luck against him in general.
Today is the final home game of the season, so this will be your last chance to see the Marlins live until next year. What genius decided that a weekday day game would be best for the final home game of the season, I don't know. But whoever it was, should be selling hot dogs and not setting schedules. If you do get the chance to go to the game, the parking gates open at 1:00 p.m and all the pre-game fun is at the Gate H plaza starting at 2:00 p.m.
Ichthyomancy is ready to put that broom to use, but stills loathes day games.
