The Fish claimed off the waiver wire Marcos Carvajal from the Mets.
The Marlins claimed right-handed pitcher Marcos Carvajal off waivers from the Mets. Carvajal, 23, appeared in 28 games, starting 22 for Class AA Binghamton this season, going 5-10 with a 5.22 ERA. Carvajal, a native of Bolivar Venz., last pitching in the majors in 2005, when he appeared in 39 games for Colorado as a reliever with a 5.09 ERA in 53 innings. He will join the team in Colorado for Friday's game. ... The Marlins moved Aaron Boone to the 60-day disabled list. Boone had surgery last week to repair the medial meniscus in his left knee.
