Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Nationals at Marlins (9/12)

Woo Hoo!  The Marlins will be going for the series win today against the Nationals.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Byung-Hyun Kim.

The Nationals have listed on the chalk board Joel Hanrahan.

Game time is 1:05 p.m.

Kim is going for his 10th win of the season and should he accomplish it, he will be first pitcher for the Marlins to log double digit wins this year.  Not only that, if Kim gets the win he will become only the second South Korean-born pitcher to have double wins in a season.  The first to accomplish the feat was Chan Ho Park.

Hanrahan so far this season has had his troubles on the road and also in day games.  Hanrahan has posted a 8.06 ERA on the road to go along with his 11.25 ERA during the day.  Righties generally do the most damage when he pitches.

Ichthyomancy tip: this is expected to be the lowest announced crowd attendance of the season.  Probably around 10,000.  The reasons being that is a day game in the middle of the week and also Rosh Hashanah should factor in.

Ichthyomancy continues to hate day games.
