Borchard DFA

Joe Bochard was designated for assignment in order to make room for Alejandro De Aza.

After Tuesday's 11-1 loss to the Phillies, the Marlins made a few roster moves that will become official on Wednesday.
Outfielder Joe Borchard was designated for assignment, and the team will reinstate rookie outfielder Alejandro De Aza for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

It will interesting to see how De Aza performs in the 49 games left on the schedule.  It appears that the club is planning on looking and evaluating the young talent for the remainder of the season.

I suspect that Borchard will clear waivers with very little problem.  But then again, you never know.
