The Marlins take to the road and open up against the Phillies. In our last contest against them we renewed the old the rivalry by trying to see who could hit other team's batters the most and still have enough pitchers to finish the game. Just like the days of old.
The Marlins starting pitcher is Rick VandenHurk.
The Phillies have on tap, Jamie Moyer.
Game time is 7:05 p.m.
VandenHurk in his last start threw 100 pitches in 4.1 innings but only walked three. However, he did strikeout 5 batters. Rick has been excellent at times and at others, well, we will go with somewhat erratic. What we will see tonight, who knows, but it should be an interesting test for the young rookie.
Moyer is a soft tossing lefty. In other words, the Marlins standard nemesis. From looking at his ERA over the succeeding months, he may be wearing down. Expect to see Cody in the lineup somewhere.
If you would like to checkout the pulse of the Phillies fans, go no further than The Good Phight, they've got all the news.
