Pinto out with a shoulder strain

This season just keeps getting better and better. </sarcasm>

Left-hander Renyel Pinto entered and struck out Matsui, but his night ended abruptly. Facing Holliday with two outs, Pinto threw one pitch before Gonzalez and trainer Mike Kozak joined him on the mound. Pinto departed and was diagnosed with a strained shoulder.

Pinto, who said he felt a pinch on his final delivery to Matsui, will be re-evaluated today.

Pinto is scheduled to undergo a MRI today.  Which, of course, won't be that much fun for Pinto, but I just hope the name Dr. Andrews isn't added to the equation.  If it is something semi-longterm, that will leave the Marlins with only one lefty in the pen.
