The Marlins once again find themselves in sweep avoidance mode.
The Marlins starting pitcher is Rick VandenHurk.
The Cardinals will send Anthony Reyes to their bidding
Game time is 8:10 p.m.
VandenHurk pitched reasonably well in his last outing but the requisite gopher ball he feels the need to give up to Bonds every time the team faces San Francisco, got him into trouble. Rick has faced the Cardinals before, going 5 innings and only allowing 5 hits and no runs.
Reyes is a bit of a mixed bag. If he doesn't give up a big inning, he can be quite tough. His strikeout to walk ratio is about 2:1. Which isn't a big deal for the Marlins since walking isn't our game. Lefties do the best against him. This will be Reyes's first time to start against the Marlins.
