VandenHurk has had control problems in his last few starts. It will be interesting to see how he pitches today. Rick pitches a little better in day games than in night. More on VandenHurk, probably tomorrow.
Pérez in his last two starts gave up a bunch of runs and the other team taking him deep was quite common. (Note: bunch of runs is a common industry term in baseball.) He is normally very good at home and for the season has an excellent strikeout to walk ratio of 2.64. Pérez is a lefty so besides the normal Sunday day game changes, look for the lefty adjustments.
