I'm not real sure what the moral of the story is. It could possibly be that trading players have more externalities than just the numbers they may put up for the other club. Or maybe a clubhouse manager who is too efficient has some drawbacks. I don't know.
But I do know this: trade Adam Laroche at your own peril.
