While the Pirates were in South Florida Adam Laroche had an opportunity presented to him, and he made the most of it.
According to this, Pirates 1B Adam Laroche recently exacted his revenge on the Braves for his unceremonious trade from the Braves to the Pirates. After a Pirates series against the Marlins, the Braves were the next team to visit Miami. Their equipment arrived before they did, and Laroche painstakingly cut the crotch out of all the Braves undies. He left a calling card saying, 'Let it all hang out, fellas.'
I'm not real sure what the moral of the story is. It could possibly be that trading players have more externalities than just the numbers they may put up for the other club. Or maybe a clubhouse manager who is too efficient has some drawbacks. I don't know.
But I do know this: trade Adam Laroche at your own peril.
