Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at White Sox (6/19)

Last night didn't go so well with the errors and all, but Johnson made it through is first start of the season physically unscathed.  He just needs to pitch more and get the ball down since he was up in the hitting zone way too much last night.  That will come.

Tonight is another night and the Marlins will try again.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Dontrelle Willis.

The White Sox plan to counter with lefty John Danks.

Game time is at sellout time of 8:11 p.m.

Willis is the best pitcher the Marlins have in Interleague play with at least 10 starts.  Actually, he is the best among active players with a 2.51 ERA.  Dontrelle has lost his last three starts, through no fault of his own, the team only scored three runs for him in the previous three starts.

I will be very interested to see Danks pitch.  He is a former Ranger prospect that they traded away but they wouldn't put into a deal to trade for Beckett.  The White Sox have lost the game in his last four outings.  Danks is a better day game pitcher than at night.  His night game ERA is 5.29.
