Vanden Hurk sent down

Brett Carroll gets the call.

The Florida Marlins sent Rick Vanden Hurk to Double-A Carolina on Friday night after the rookie right-hander got the win in a 9-8 victory over Kansas City.

The Marlins also said outfielder Brett Carroll would be brought up from Triple-A Albuquerque and outfielder Alejandro De Aza would be transferred from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.

Intriguing.  The Marlins will make another roster move before tomorrow's game in order to make a spot on the roster for Josh Johnson and that means someone will be optioned or DFA'd.

It will be interesting to see who it is.  Speculate away, if you so desire.
