Happy Father's Day!
The Marlins are going for the series win today. Also the team will be bidding farewell to Kansas City.
The Marlins starting pitcher is Scott Olsen.
The Royals will counter with Brian Bannister.
Game time is 2:10 p.m.
Olsen was outstanding in his last start against the Indians. Not only that, he is an excellent Interleague game pitcher, posting a 3-1 record in Interleague play with a 1.36 ERA. Now for the bad news, Olsen is a creature of the night and his day game ERA of 6.08 isn't exactly the best.
Bannister, as of late, has probably been the Royals best pitcher. He won his last three starts and only allowed one ER in the process. He is a righty. The good news is he also shines at night, his day game ERA is 4.63. The sad part is that is as bad as his ERA gets.
In other news, Cabrera may be the DH again today and if this happens Alfredo is expected to play third. Given how hot Olivo has been at plate, it is the anticipation of many that he will start today.
