Florida Marlins third baseman Miguel Cabrera, who led the N.L. with a .476 batting average and a 1.048 slugging percentage, has been named Bank of America Presents the National League Player of the Week for the period of June 4-10, 2007.

The 24-year old third baseman finished the week tied for second in the N.L. with three home runs, eight RBI, 22 total bases, and one triple. He also accumulated a .478 on-base percentage and six runs scored. The right-handed slugger hit a home run in three of Florida's six games and recorded multi-RBI performances in three consecutive games against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. This marks the second time Cabrera has been named the N.L. Player of the Week this year. He was previously honored for his performance during the opening week of the 2007 season (April 2-8)
