Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Marlins at Cubs (5/30)

Breakout the brooms because the Marlins are going for the sweep.  If the team is able to pull it off, it will be the first time in franchise history that the Fish have swept the Cubs in Wrigley.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Sergio Mitre.

The Cubs have Ted Lilly on tap.

Game time is 8:05 p.m.

Mitre will be making his first start against his old team.  If he has his sinker working, you should be able to hear the Cubs fans' stomachs  turning all the way to Key West.  Not to mention the cuss words about how they lost consecutive games to pitchers they traded away.

Lilly has pitched pretty well for the most of this season.  He was roughed up in his last outing by the Dodgers, only going 4.1 IP, giving up 5 ER and walking 4.  Lilly is a lefty but hitters batting from the left-side of the plate have had more success against him this season than righties.  I assume Olivo will be catching tonight since his lifetime stats when facing Lilly are: 4 for 5 with 3 HR and 7 RBI.

Ichthyomancy is up and running.

Here's today's Ichthyomancy pick table:
