The Marlins will be in sweep avoidance mode today. Who knew that a Delgado home run could be such an ugly thing to see. I remember a couple of years ago it was a thing of beauty. Times change, I guess.
The Marlins starting pitcher is Scott Olsen.
The Mets will trot out Jorge Sosa.
Game time is 1:05 p.m.
Olsen beat the Mets in his first outing against the team this season. If he can get the walks under control, he should be okay. The only problem is Scott, historically, doesn't pitch very well during day games. I can think of a couple of reasons why this is so, but I won't go into them now.
Sosa is a righty and kinda a mixed bag this season. He won his first three starts going no fewer than 6.1 IP in each and only giving up a total of 5 ER. However, he didn't perform very well against the Braves in his last start, only going 4 IP and allowing 5 ER. So he could be returning to last year's form which would be very nice if he did.
