Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Mets at Marlins (5/25)

The Marlins will welcome to the stadium some old friends and the rest of the Mets tonight.

The Marlins starting pitcher is Sergio Mitre.

The Mets will, fittingly, send Orlando Hernandez to the hill.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Mitre will face the Mets for the first time in his career.  Sergio won his last two starts and is pitching very well at this point in the season.  His sinker, if on, could pose a problem for the Mets hitters.

EL Duque is making his return from the DL for shoulder bursitis.  The Marlins saw him earlier in the season and, frankly, didn't do very well against him.  He only allowed three hits in seven innings while fanning 10 during that outing.  But that was then, this is now.

Tonight, at the park, it's Cuban Heritage Night.  Which promises to be a lot more fun than CPA appreciation night.  If you are one of the first 15,000 fans through the gates, you will receive a scratch-off ticket which will give you a chance to win a Fredi Gonzalez autographed authentic Opening Day Lineup Card.

Normally, you could take your time getting to stadium and still be among the first 15,000.  Tonight could be different with the Mets in town and it being Cuban Heritage Night.

Ichthyomancy is up and running and looking for action.
