In baby news:
Reliever Lee Gardner's wife gave birth to the couple's third daughter Tuesday. Gardner said he spoke to pitcher Wes Obermueller, whose wife was expected to try to give birth Tuesday. Gardner said Obermueller's wife was scheduled to be induced Monday in Iowa, but they left because the hospital was too busy.
Congratulations to the Gardner's on the birth of their new baby girl.
