Ricky claims that everything went well.
Ricky Nolasco's velocity was slightly down in his last start. After throwing a bullpen session Monday, he said: "I'm fine and that's all you need to know.''
Nolasco, who came off the disabled list May 1 (sore right elbow), is scheduled to start Thursday.
"My rotation in my calendar is in pencil,'' Gonzalez said, referring to six injured pitchers. "The first two weeks (of April) it was in pen and I said, 'You know, this ain't working.' I've got whiteout everywhere."
The one thing I do know is this: the kids lie. All you will ever hear from them is: "I feel great Skip and I'm ready to go". And I wouldn't expect anything less, but it is the job of the coaches to take everything they say with a grain of salt and evaluate them on how they are performing. The Marlins have enough pitchers on the DL, let's try to get this one right.
