Hermida is back

As I'm sure you all know by now that Jeremy Hermida rejoined the team yesterday.  Maverick announced it, sort of, in the comments.

Right fielder Jeremy Hermida, who had been out since March 17 when he fouled a pitch off his right kneecap, made his season debut Monday night for Florida, going 1-for-2 with a walk in a 7-0 loss to Pittsburgh.

The Marlins faced Tom Gorzelanny, the first of three left-handers the Pirates will throw this week. Hermida bats left-handed.

"It's tough to come up and play against three left-handers but he's our guy and he's going to play,'' manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "He can do it. He's healthy.''

While Fredi saying "he's our guy" is starting to scare me, I don't it is the same in this instance.

The Marlins didn't have to make a roster move to add Hermida to the team.

Welcome back, Jeremy!
