Tonight is the home opener for the Marlins! The Phillies are in town for a three-game set and they have yet to hit on all eight cylinders (or should that be nine). Yes, I know, that a nine engine cylinder doesn't make any sense in the real world. But we are talking baseball here. Making sense is not a prerequisite.
The starting pitcher for the Marlins is Sergio Mitre.
The Phillies will send Jamie Moyer to the hill.
Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Mitre is coming off a strong spring and it will be interesting to see how he handles to potent Phillies lineup.
Moyer is a soft thrower at this point in his career. So the Fish should see junk and more junk. If the young Marlins can resist the urge to get overly aggressive at the soft tossing Moyer, and go with the pitch, they should be fine.
