That crap about the Marlins having the lowest payroll in all of baseball is over.

Unlike last season, the Marlins aren't starting at the bottom of the payroll standings.

According to team payroll information gathered by The Associated Press, the Marlins' Opening Day payroll more than doubled to $30,507,000. That only gained them one spot in the rankings (29th).

Only the Tampa Bay Devil Rays ($24,124,200) have a lower payroll than the Marlins.

Yeah, it may be only the Devil Rays below us, but we're not last.
