To make room on the roster, Scott Tyler was sent down to Albuquerque.

Obermueller is 9-19 with a 5.65 ERA in 62 career games, mostly with the Milwaukee Brewers in parts of the 2003-05 seasons.
Obermueller has been particularly effective against Washington. His last big-league win came May 17, 2005, when he allowed two hits in eight innings against Washington. He took a perfect game into the seventh inning at RFK Stadium before Jamey Carroll singled with one out.
