Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Mets at Marlins (4/19)

Last night didn't go so well and that is as nicely as I can put it.  But the Marlins have the chance to even the short series tonight.  And why not, the pitching match-up favored the Fish yesterday and it turned into a loss.  Tonight's favors the Mets, at least experience-wise, so by my strange calculus it's our turn to win.

The starting pitcher for the Marlins is Rick Vanden Hurk.

The Mets will send Orlando Hernandez to the hill.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Vanden Hurk was pitching a good game until the rains came and spoiled any chance of him logging his first Major League win.  On a personal note, I like it when Rick pitches since FishStripes gets hits from all over Europe.

El Duque was roughed up in last start by the Nats.  He gave up three home runs in the sixth and then plunked the Nationals pitcher which got him tossed.  But before that outing he was extremely tough to score runs on.

Ichthyomancy is set on go.  If you haven't joined us already, I can't think of a better time to start.
