Fredi was good to his word and went on a tour of the Johnson Space Center.
Tuesday morning, Gonzalez went to Johnson Space Center to visit with some NASA astronauts. Gonzalez went along with Marlins trainer Sean Cunningham, video coordinator Cullen McRae, and media relations director Matt Roebuck.
"It was great," Gonzalez said. "We saw a lot of good stuff, the space module and simulators and all. It was pretty impressive. We had some astronauts take us around. They showed us the whole space station setup. It was pretty cool.
"Next year when we come here I want to try and make it back and bring some more guys. I'd like to bring some players. That's who the astronauts like to see."
