Starter Dontrelle Willis was packed and ready to return home Monday morning after learning his wife, Natalie, might be going into labor.
Turned out to be a false alarm and Willis remained in Houston. It's unlikely, but if his wife does go into labor Willis would fly home ahead of the club today. He is scheduled to start Wednesday against the Mets.
If Willis misses his start against the Mets, you will know why. And should he miss his start I'm sure the Mets organization will be elated and send his new child a wonderful gift for keeping Dontrelle off the mound. Especially considering he is 11-2 against them lifetime.
