Marlins and the Super Bowl

The Marlins were featured in many write ups about the Super Bowl.  My favorite came from Mike Lopresti of the Gannett News Service.

"The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain (while in Florida, it often loiters around Dolphin Stadium, so no wonder the Marlins want a dome)." - Alan Jay Lerner.

David Haugh of the Chicago Tribune put his two cents in.

Four plays later, that uncertainty showed when Grossman underthrew Bernard Berrian, who had gotten behind the Colts secondary. Safety Bob Sanders camped out under the pass like a Marlins center fielder and ended any hopes the Bears had.

Now if David Haugh would be kind enough to tell us who that center fielder is, it would be much appreciated.

Joe Frisaro thinks he knows who will probably be the team's center fielder on opening day.

OUTFIELD STARTERS: LF Josh Willingham, CF Alex Sanchez, RF Jeremy Hermida

I truly hope it doesn't come to that and surely it won't.  Alfredo is a better option than Sanchez.  If Alex makes me eat may words, fantastic, but I don't see it happening.  With any luck one of the young guys will step up and take over the position, especially since I don't think I can bear a season of watching Sanchez misplay routine fly ball after routine fly ball.
