Johnson throwing again

Finally.  Josh Johnson is throwing again.

Right-hander Josh Johnson threw Wednesday as he tries to get ready for the season. Johnson (12-7, 3.10 ERA last season) had irritation in his right biceps/triceps area three weeks ago and was shut down.

He reported to spring training Saturday, saying his arm felt fine, but the Marlins remain cautious.

''I threw 25 to 30 [times] and everything felt fine,'' said Johnson, who played catch on flat ground. ``I cut loose with a few of them.''

Johnson will throw again today."

While Fredi is still optimistic about him being in the rotation on opening day, I'm less so.  Hopefully he will complete his flat ground routine today without pain.  But Johnson is coming off his second stint from being shutdown so the real determination will come from when they let him pitch off the mound.  That will let us know if can go or not.  Given everything that has happened so far, I'm not sure he will be in the rotation on opening day or that if he is, he can make through the season injury free.
