SBN Baseball Awards (ROY Edition)

The Sports Blog Nation had its voting of the major baseball awards right after the regular season.  Each site was given two ballots and could only vote for the winners in their respective league - ours being the National League, of course.

Since I am the only blogger, right now, on FishStripes and another blogger was needed to fill out the other ballot, I asked Gamefish who magnanimously agreed to the task.  It is entirely possible that we are the least knowledgeable representatives of the site: but someone had to vote.

The schedule for the SBN blogger awards are the following:

Nov. 5, AL & NL Rookie of the Year

Nov. 6, AL & NL Manager of the Year

Nov. 7, AL & NL Cy Young award

Nov. 8, NL MVP award

Nov. 9, AL MVP award

So today, here are the results for the NL and AL ROY.

ROY. Voting 5-3-1

National League 1st 2nd 3rd Points
Ryan Braun 13 6 2 85
Troy Tulowitzki 7 9 3 65
Hunter Pence - 4 9 21
Kevin Kouzmanoff 1 - - 5
James Loney - 1 1 4
Micah Owings - 1 1 4
Chris Young - - 2 2
Yovani Gallardo - - 2 2
Tim Lincecum - - 1 1
American League 1st 2nd 3rd Points
Dustin Pedroia 15 4 - 87
Jeremy Guthrie 1 6 2 25
Brian Bannister 2 2 4 20
Daisuke Matsuzaka - 3 5 14
Reggie Willits 1 1 1 9
Delmon Young - 1 3 6
Hideki Okajima - 1 1 4
Rafael Perez - 1 1 4
Travis Buck - - 1 1
Rafael Perez - - 1 1

In case you are wondering, I voted for:

1. Troy Tulowitzki
2. Ryan Braun
3. Hunter Pence

I have absolutely no idea who Gamefish voted for, and who is under no obligation to reveal such vote.

One final word: a big thanks to gondeee at Talking Chop for his yeomen work in orchestrating the whole process and to Al at Bleed Cubbie Blue, you'll are the best.
