A quick update on the Walking Wounded report.

Hanley Ramirez has been wearing a sling to hold up his left arm as part of his recovery from shoulder surgery, which he underwent Oct. 3. He was expecting to remove the sling the week of Oct. 29 and then begin a rehab program. He hopes to be at or close to full strength when spring training starts.

---

RHP Josh Johnson (reconstructive elbow surgery in August 2007) is expected to miss all of the 2008 season.

RHP Anibal Sanchez (shoulder surgery in June 2007) won't return before May 2008.

LF Josh Willingham (herniated disk in back) is expected to be ready for spring training.

---

RHP Henry Owens (right shoulder surgery in August 2007) won't be back before the 2008 All-Star break.

I will have a lot more to say about this as the offseason progresses. But since I was asked about the possible return dates of the Walking Wounded over the weekend, it is being presented for informational purposes.
