Flotsam and Jetsam

Sorry about the lack of post today but I have to be at work incredibly early.  It's that time of the month.

Something I recommend is checking out The Good Phight's compilation of ranking the positions.  David ranks all the positions for every team in MLB by OPS.  You get to learn that CF wasn't that much more of a disappointment than RF, OPS-wise.  Also that, the Marlins sucked when having to use a DH and the P hit reasonable well when compared to other Ps.

If for some reason you geographically challenged and can't make it to Fredi's speech at FIU, and you live in the Jamestown, New York area, you may be able to catch Tyler Tankersley's keynote address.

Finally, Tristan H. Cockcroft of ESPN list his top five hitter-friendly and pitcher-friendly parks.  Unsurprisingly, JRS makes the one of the list.

That concludes Flotsam and Jetsam for this Friday.
