The Giants while desiring to unload Benitez have over estimated his value to the Marlins.
The Giants, unable to agree with the Marlins on the player they would receive for closer Armando Benitez, seem likely to pitch Benitez in spring training, figuring that he will increase his trade value if he proves that he is healthy.
I guess a bat boy and a bag of balls wasn't enough.
Until he is proven healthy, Benitez is not worth one of our promising young pitchers in the minors. And even then, it is questionable.
