Hitting the Wall?

The starting rotation is in for a change.

After two shaky performances, Ricky Nolasco will miss his next scheduled start Monday against the Diamondbacks at Dolphin Stadium in favor of Brian Moehler.

Nolasco allowed a combined 12 runs (11 earned) and did not get out of the fifth inning in his last outings against the Brewers and Cardinals.

There has always been a concern about the rookie pitchers hitting the proverbial September wall, but I'm not sure that is the case with Nolasco.  He has thrown 121 innings, so far this year, which is about 50 innings short of the normal fatigue point.  Bodies are different so who knows.  I'm just hoping that there isn't some underlying injury to his arm.

Big Moe will be taking over the spot in the rotation for now. The prominent one pitched well in his last start and I see no reason why he can't duplicate that feat.
