Perry Hill back home

Sadly, the Marlins infield coach had to take a leave of absence to return home.

First base coach Perry Hill left the team Saturday to be with his ailing wife in a Texas hospital, and Girardi said no timetable has been set for his return. Dean Treanor coached first base Sunday in his place.

This was the third time this season Hill has left the team to be with his wife - spending about 10 days away in both April and May.

"A lot of prayers for her," said Girardi, who would not elaborate on Hill's illness. "As I told him before, his wife and kids come way before us, and you've got to take care of your stuff at home."

We here at FishStripes join in with our deep concern and best wishes for the Hill family.
