Closer Joe Borowski is among a dozen finalists for baseball's Comeback Player of the Year award.
The right-hander, who didn't record a save last year in 43 games with Tampa Bay and the Chicago Cubs, is tied for seventh in the National League with 22 this season.
The other finalists for the NL award are the Dodgers' Nomar Garciaparra, the Mets' Carlos Beltran, the Diamondbacks' Johnny Estrada, the Braves' Edgar Renteria and the Cardinals' Scott Rolen.
Seeing how the Marlins are a small market team and with the way some of the other finalists are playing, my Magic Eight ball says: outlook is not so good, for a Borowski win of the award.
But nonetheless, the fact that he is a finalist is a success in itself.
