Franklyn German was released by the organization.
The Marlins activated Triple-A reliever Franklyn German from the disabled list and then released him. German had been sidelined for a second time with right shoulder tendinitis.
I saw German pitch in Houston at the start of the season and he had good stuff. The Astros fans around me were impressed and wanted to know who he was.
Come to think about it, they wanted to know who every member of the Marlins was. But that's a different story.
I guess Franklyn wasn't able to over come his shoulder injury and that's a shame. As Fishfan has said a number of times and I paraphrase: shoulders are the worse.
