The Marlins didn't pull off the sweep last night but no matter. The team has won 8 of its last 11 series and that ain't bad.
If you are looking for something to take care of your daily Marlins fix, head on out to your local newsstand and pick up a copy of USA Today/Sports Weekly, Danny Uggla is on the cover. While you are there, grab the latest issue of Sports Illustrated - the baseball midseason report edition because Joe was named the National League's best manager.
The next series for the Marlins is a three gamer against the Boston Red Sox. A bit of a hint for your Ichthyomancy picks for attendance:
Based on advance ticket sales, the Marlins are expecting close to 100,000 fans for the series with the Red Sox. That would more than double the best attendance the Marlins have had for a three-game series at home this season and more than triple their average daily draw of 10,904.
Oh, by the way, THE MARLINS ARE TIED FOR SECOND IN THE NL EAST!
