These types of rumors we are going to hear until July 31. There is no way around it.
One Marlins official labeled the chatter "totally erroneous," and the Marlins are becoming increasingly frustrated with reports that they plan to deal Willis.
I may or may not report these as they come in. I'm guessing I will grow pretty weary of them as the season progresses.
There isn't a reason to trade Willis or Cabrera at this point in the season. But should a stadium deal not materialize it could happen. That is a ways down the road and I really don't want to address, now, the baseball logic for the trade(s). There is a good possibility that even if a stadium deal isn't secured a trade of either one of the two will never transpire.
But I can promise you this: we will see more of these in the future.
