A roster change was made yesterday.
The Marlins activated right-hander Franklyn German from the disabled list after the game and optioned left-hander Renyel Pinto to Triple-A Albuquerque. German threw back-to-back days Saturday and Sunday for Class A Jupiter without incident.
German has pitched quite well in high-A ball during his rehab session. Hopefully that will translate into he and his shoulder are now ready for the Bigs. But that last part remains to be seen. I definitely wish the best of success for him but don't be surprised if it takes a few games to adjust.
Pinto will be able to get more innings with the Isotopes. He pitched well while he was up with the Fish, sporting a 0.00 ERA, and at this point, the future only looks bright.
