The Walking Wounded

Or I guess it could have been titled: Where was Sergio?

Sergio Mitre missed his scheduled start Friday night against Colorado because of an injured right big toe.

Mitre has turf toe and he is being pushed back to the Sunday start.  If I'm not wrong, and don't think I am, Sunday is a day game which Mitre has yet to win one this year.

Could we hold him out an extra day and have him pitch a night game.  Sergio has better results at night.

In other injury news:

The Marlins hoped to have Jeremy Hermida back in the lineup as early as Monday. Now it looks like the right fielder will be out until the end of next week.

Girardi said Hermida, on the disabled list with a tight right hip flexor, will not be activated until after the Marlins return from a two-game road trip to Washington on Wednesday and Thursday.

Not really a surprise given how slowly he has been progressing.  If he can make it back by the end of the week, great.  If not, there is no need to rush him.
