Lordy-be. It is amazing what a little sleep does for the brain.
I can almost think today.
Almost.
Anyway...
Looks like we finally indeed have a set 25-man roster. One fun fact - there will be nine rookies (scroll down) on the team for opening day! The most by any team since 2000, aparently.
When the Marlins face the Astros in Monday's opener, their rookies will be: Hanley Ramirez, Mike Jacobs, Uggla, Reggie Abercrombie, Eric Reed, Jeremy Hermida, Carlos Martinez, Johnson and Ricky Nolasco.
Uggla, Abercrombie, Reed, Martinez and Nolasco will each make their Major League debut on Monday.
And almost all of them are expected to contribute in a big way!
I really am getting more and more excited about this team. No, they won't be winning the World Series this year, and they probably won't even get to .500...
But they won't completely suck.
And they will get good quick, I think.
This'll be fun!
Now I'm going back to sleep.
