San Antonio, Once Again

San Antonio keeps the press releases coming.

Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff told KSAT 12 News that San Antonio has the appeal to draw the Florida Marlins professional baseball team to the city.

However, Wolff said it might be more difficult convincing other Major League Baseball team owners.

League officials would need an agreement by the Marlins and 3/4 of the owners' signatures to complete the move.

Wolff said Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria is inviting the entire commissioner's court to the team's game against the Houston Astros in Houston in early April.

Interesting.

I'm not sure Loria is doing this on just the behalf of San Antonio's bid.  An additional possible intent is to wake up the politicians in South Florida - of course, it may just piss them off further.  Who knows.

But it's interesting.
