Thinning the Herd

The Marlins optioned seven pitchers to the minor leagues yesterday.  Heading the list was Anibal Sanchez.  You remember him, the team got him in the deal with the Red Sox.

This comes as no surprise since he has spent most the spring working through shoulder tendinitis.

Sanchez will be going to the Double-A Mudcats.  He will be joined by right-hander Scott Tyler and left-hander Adam Bostick.

Reynel Pinto is on his way to the Isotopes.  Jesus Delgado, Harvey Garcia and Jose Garcia will start the season with the Hammerheads in High Single-A.

It will be far from astonishing if the ones who were sent to Triple-A and Double-A make their appearance in JRS later in the regular season.

Hang in there guys, we may see you soon.
