If you will recall a story was published on this site about San Antonio's bid for the Marlins and in it was the mention that the stadium proposal had a chance to make the November ballot.
It turns out I was in error. Dr. Ronald Cox in an email had this to say:
However, even there, it's unrealistic to think that a deal could be put together in time for a November vote. Too many difficult political hurdles to overcome, and San Antonio has a record of failure in luring franchises
I was going to write back and question but then it occurred to me: he is a professional political scientist and everything I know about political procedure I learned from Schoolhouse Rock.
Fortunately, I didn't embarrass myself and write back.
