More on Benitez

If trying to workout a trade with the Devil Rays wasn't bad enough, trading with the Giants has the possibility of being worse.

[Giants GM] Sabean is still looking for starting pitching and might try to package closer Armando Benitez in a trade. The Florida Marlins have also expressed some interest in Benitez, a right-hander who finished the year on the 60-day disabled list with a right knee injury.

"I don't know that Benitez is healthy so I don't know what he's capable of doing," Sabean said.

Trading starting pitching for someone that the other team's GM isn't sure is healthy doesn't sound like that good of a deal to me.  Not to mention that the person is 34 years old and ended the previous season on the 60-day DL with bad knees.

The Marlins don't need a closer that badly.
