Minor League Transactions

According to Baseball America, the Marlins have signed a couple of Minor League free agents.

Signed 2B Robert Moore
Signed LHP Chris George

Chris George was with the Isotopes last season and frankly didn't have that great of a season.  But like many left handed pitchers he gets to hang around until he can prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, he can't cut it.

George was the 35th top prospect listed by Minor League Baseball back in 2001.  At the time, this is what John Sickels had to say about him:

Chris George, Grade B+: Lost his fastball, Quadruple-A pitcher.

The other player Baseball America has listed as a Minor League Player signee, I can't find any data about the guy using that name.  I did find a Robert Moore who played the Texas Rangers organization as a pitcher until 1998.   But no second baseman.  I suspect they may have messed up the name and it should be Frank Moore who played in Jupiter and Carolina last season.  Frank was/is a Minor League free agent.  Who knows?  Definitely not me.  Maybe you do and if you do, please share.
