Open Thread and Ichthyomancy: Nationals at Marlins (9/27)

There are a lot of story lines to follow tonight. First and foremost is tonight's starter, as Dontrelle takes the hill. Willis has a shot to continue pushing his way into the Cy Young debate. He'll be opposed by Esteban Loiaza, who's much tougher than his 11-10 "record" might indicate. Regardless, Dontrelle needs another good (to great) start to keep himself at the fore of the Cy Young discussion. The Marlins recent slide will count against him, unfortunately.

This could be Dontrelle's last start of the year. This morning on the radio Jack was non-commital about whether we'd see Beckett or Willis again after tonight (Jack was equally evasive about his future - saying that he's made his decision, but that he may change his mind before he announces anything publicly).

Other story lines include what's happening with Miguel Cabrera (will he play?), Jack McKeon's future (allegedly the decision is his to make), and how the team reacts to Burnett being gone.

It's once again time for ichthyomancy. If you've been playing all season, please make your picks today. If you've never played before - start today. It doesn't cost anything, it's fun, and it's free.
