The Marlins added Mike Mordecai to the 40-man roster and if you were like me, nothing against Mike, why, he hasn't played all year. He has been a Class A manager.
There is a reason.
Fresh off his inaugural managerial campaign in the Marlins' organization, Mike Mordecai joined the big-league club in a different capacity.
As expected, the Marlins signed Mordecai to a free-agent deal. The service time he accumulates this month will send him over the 10-year mark, qualifying him for a full pension.
This is a very nice move on the Club's part. I like it when teams do this.
