We're down to just eight Marlins in the Favorite Marlin contest. Today we'll learn who will reach the final four, as we're down to the last matchup in each bracket.
If you're just joining us, check out the entry from Day One, which gives something of an overview for the whole process.
There were some great (close) matchups in the previous round, and this round promises to provide even more. In addition to close calls, we still have a chance to have a Conine vs. Conine final - as the finals will matchup our favorite non-champion Marlin (possibly early years Conine) and our favorite champion Marlin (possibly 97 Conine).
As we've done the last few days, there will be no writeups for each of the players, but feel free to look them up on your own. Keep in mind things like that in 1997, Jeff Conine had one of his worst years and that Charles Johnson had arguably the best season of his career. That may have impacted how big of a fan you were of both players in 1997.
It's a tough call, but we'll go with the 2003 Champions again as today's featured matchup. D-Train vs. Pudge should be interesting. I think everyone knows where I stand, but in Rodriguez's single season in Florida he put up big numbers, made clutch plays, and won a lot of fans.
We'll save the Final Four and Finals for next week. The Final Four will take place on Monday and the Finals on Tuesday. That means that voting will be open all weekend - so tell all of your friends and vote all weekend long.
