Favorite Marlin Contest: Round Three, Day Two

The last half of the Sweet Sixteen. Only two men will remain standing in each bracket after today's voting.

Yesterday's results, revealed below, have left me wondering about the integrity of this whole process. Methinks that some (many?) of us are voting based on what we currently think of certain players and less based on how we felt about them in their appropriate era. If that's not what's happening, I can't understand how Robb Nen won in a landslide over Orestes Destrade yesterday. I expected Destrade to win, but could see Nen winning. It shocks me that it was a blowout though.

If you're just joining us, check out the entry from Day One, which gives something of an overview for the whole process.

Yesterday's Results
Teal (93-96) Bracket: Conine and Nen
Ugly Years (98-02) Bracket: Castillo and Lee advance
Who is your favorite Marlin?

1997 World Champs Bracket:
Livan Hernandez vs. Charles Johnson
Edgar Renteria vs. Jeff Conine
2003 World Champs Bracket:
Josh Beckett vs. Dontrelle Willis (featured matchup - main poll)
Luis Castillo vs. Ivan Rodriguez
